OPENING THIS WEEKEND

SIXPACK

By Katie Ka Vang
Directed by Sara Pillatzki-Warzeha

Featuring Ashley Horiuchi, Megan Kim, Dorothy Vang, Phasoua Vang, Pagnia Xiong, Dexieng “Dae” Yang

May 31 - June 29, 2025

Pam and Jou used to be best friends. Promising star athletes on their volleyball team, they both had big dreams of moving away from Minnesota and playing in college. Jumping back and forth between their teenage years and adulthood, we see how the tensions of family, culture, and ambition shape these young women and their friendship.

With a backdrop of the competitive world of Hmong volleyball, SIXPACK explores if a friendship can withstand the harms, betrayals, and messiness that happen when you feel your life pulling away from the future you envisioned.

JUST ANNOUNCED: 2025/26 Season and More

The Neighborhood Improv

Featuring Meredith Dylan, Ruben Gomez, Ike Okafor, Karyn Wilson, Meghan Wolff, Rita Boersma, Michael Rogers, Adam Mellerup

Monday, June 2

Welcome to The Neighborhood - where storytelling and improv join forces! Featuring people from the community telling real-life stories on stage, improvisors then use those stories as inspiration for scenes.

Each month, The Neighborhood features a local group to kick off the performance. After a brief intermission, the night’s storyteller and team of improvisers then create a show never before seen onstage.

Stick around after the show as The Neighborhood hosts an improv jam, where audience members and performers are invited to play together — on stage!

IN THE NEWS: Letter to the editor

We express deep concern over the recent National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) funding cuts to Minnesota arts organizations, threatening our state’s cultural landscape (“Minnesota arts groups reel from abrupt NEA cuts to grants,” StarTribune.com, May 6). We are facing the threat of losing crucial funding for our programming and many of our theater partners and collaborators have already lost funding as a result of these cuts…
