AN APOLOGY TO AND FROM A MOTHER

This one-person, autobiographical show has creator and performer Adil Mansoor trying to reconcile his queerness, his mother's fear for his afterlife, and their love for each other by inviting her to co-dramaturg Antigone, the classic Greek tragedy about two sisters on opposing sides of obligation. Together Adil and his mother mine Greek tragedy, Islamic traditions, and their own memories to create an original performance locating love across faith.

HUGE Theater’s long-running hit is back — in a new home!

Every actor has that nightmare: it is opening night, and you never learned your part. Worse, you don’t even know what show you’re performing! But an actor’s nightmare is an improviser’s dream come true. In Off Book, we pair illustrious Twin Cities actors who have memorized a script with amazing improvisers who have absolutely no idea what they are getting into. We send them onstage, and watch the beautiful chaotic magic happen!

IN THE NEWS: A championship-winning play

For “SIXPACK,” delivering a funny, nuanced, and at times serious look at friendship is the goal— and it’s a championship-winning play. The script is by Minnesota writer Katie Ka Vang and is playing at the Jungle Theater… “SIXPACK” offers a vivid snapshot of the state today…
